Tirin and Trina have reached their destination, the fix-it-shop that Trina's detective, Hemrock Hames, traced Genesis to. Detective Hames explained what happened to Genesis and how she was hired to help protect Wendy from a gang of malcontents who were disappointed that Wendy hadn't yet fixed a certain broken Imperial Droid. Tirin sees the bike that Reny had used to find Wendy, now stripped of all it's valuable parts. Detective Hames informs Tirin and Trina that a certain member of the Emperor's staff, named Ephraim, had commissioned this group of malcontents to fix the broken Imperial droid, for reasons unknown. Ephraim, fearful that his suspicious activities would be found out, had all parties involved arrested by the Emperor (all of this happened in Chapter 24). As Tirin is trying to figure out what to do next, she gets a call via neuralink from Reny who is not too far away at the Emperor's stronghold. Reny has had her hair redone by the Emperor's stylist. Reny believes that the Emperor's memories about what happened on Riutho (Chapters 20 and 21) may be coming back. Memories that include how he first met Reny, how he became infatuated with her, and how he realized that she and her buddies were time travelers. As you may recall, he had his memory erased here. It would be bad for him to regain his memories because as the most powerful person in the universe, he would LOVE to be able to time travel. Reny tells Tirin that the Emperor is grooming Reny to be his Queen. Reny also relays that Wendy and her friend Julie have been relegated to the Emperor's "Hacker" harem where they are responsible for appeasing the royal artifical intelligences, Joshua and Ewing. Reny implores Tirin to rescue them, as well as their friends, Nya and Genesis who have been relegated (along with Big Betty, who we first met here) to the Emperor's "fighter's harem." We saw a glimpse of them being advised by their coach about an upcoming "Rookie's tournament" in 3 days (the Emperor periodically hosts contests, inviting various universal leaders to bring their own harem fighters to challenge the Emperor's fighters). Tirin then has an idea to recruit Dabney (due to her excellent shape-shifting and mind altering skills) as well as Fairy Emcee (who?). Meanwhile, back on Saronia, Dabney is ready to hit the sack after a long day working as the Queen of Saronia's "clairvoyant" Queensguard (chapter 16) as well as her Royal Coitus Facilitator (chapter 18). Ever since Dabney helped recover Trina's memories of Genesis and experiencing Trina's overwhelming emotions (stronger than a human's) she has been dreaming of Trina ever since. Her dream is rudely interrupted by Tirin who asks for her help to infiltrate the Emperor of the Universe's stronghold. Dabney wants to "explore" Trina's memories some more as a reward. Trina agrees. Tirin asks Dabney to see if her friend Fairy Emcee would be available to help also. Trina thinks that perhaps obtaining the Imperial Drone that Wendy was trying to fix would help in sweetening any potential deal for the Emperor to "hire" Tirin and Trina (and Dabney) into his harem...

Wait, is Hames gonna just point behind them to Wendy’s shop?
Would be the easiest (and quickest) cash he’s made in his whole career 🙂

Gotta say, Dabs’ condition seems a little skeevy to me 😛
