Wait, how has that moronic idiot managed to survive this long?
More importantly, why!?!?!?
Guesticus (Guest) January 4th, 2019, 5:18 am
Wait, if Hotstuff's people don't have ovaries, how do they breed and reproduce? o_O
Merceneiress January 4th, 2019, 10:03 pm
@Guesticus: Her race originated as lab subjects for a group of scientists who had no use for ethics, using artificial embryonization to create hundreds of "subjects" for experimentation. Rebellion against the scientists resulted in their liberation, but they were genetically constructed without ovaries (or testes for the males). Without a natural means for reproduction, they ended up adapting artificial embryonization as their only way of reproducing.

@Merceneiress: thank you for explaining that
Nice to know that they are not basically an extinct race (fairly sure there would be some who would disagree :P )

ok.. defibrillation heart attack is reversible.. so i am guessing you went with 'heart rupture'.. ( which is more common in females..)
VS: shock , dead. shock , alive.. ore' shock/pop, no heart , dead.!
Guesticus (Guest) January 4th, 2019, 12:32 pm
@robnot: how did it only affect them? His Royal Stupidity had more contact with the bed (specially more so than the girl with the blue hair)
Merceneiress January 4th, 2019, 10:07 pm
@Guesticus: Explanation for how it only affects the females and not the Emperor is coming up (when it is our heroine's turn).
Guesticus (Guest) January 5th, 2019, 6:15 am
@Merceneiress: thank you again
There are plenty of authors who wouldn't even say that much :D
E Hines (Guest) January 5th, 2019, 8:51 am
@Merceneiress: Speculation: reasonably coherent microwave from origins scattered around the room, tracking their hearts and focused to the region of their hearts rather than cooking their way in.
Or: "pacemaker" implants as a condition of getting so close to Emperor Dildo. Heads up to Tirin the Elder and her cohorts.

@E Hines: sort of like those Heart-Plugs from the "Dune" series?
E Hines (Guest) January 5th, 2019, 4:17 pm
@Guesticus: Not familiar with those. I didn't read very far past the original; the "sequels" struck me as typically sequelatious: not very good.

@E Hines: they were actually used in the first book (and the movie)
Basically, the slaves had a 'plug' surgically inserted into their heart by the Harkonnen's, if the slave did anything to piss of a Harkonnen, they simply 'pulled the plug'
Merceneiress January 4th, 2019, 10:05 pm
@robnot: Infarction of all of the coronary arteries was fatal in this setting mostly because the Emperor didn't know anything about CPR or defibrillation and by the time Ephraim got there it was too late.
Dragonrider January 5th, 2019, 6:19 am
Think The Emperor is a bit of a Masochist, think we also have a clue how he lost the royal staff and orbs. Also think it will be a good thing if Ephraim gives in on demands to give up vacation. Might be a bit touch and gone if she shows up
Guesticus (Guest) January 5th, 2019, 3:53 pm
@Dragonrider: we saw how he lost his staff in one of the earlier chapters, before TeePee got caught in that whole Time Enforcement crap
