Yay Mirror! Also, I think Tirin will be able to easily handle or ignore the psychological distractions that are Dopple's standard tactics. "Daddy doesn't love you" never works on someone who knows, without any doubt, that her Dad loves her.

Finally a long-deserved skill upgrade for Mirror she can put to some good use. I get the impression the doppelgaenger can only be defeated in some psychological mind game or with some magic incantation babble similar to 'subconcious shadow projection of my jungian anima, merge yourself with the ego and begone!'

@ems: "What do you mean? African or European swallow?"

"I, I don't know that. AAAAAaaaaaaaaah!"

Oh, so that's how her outfit stays on: it's a facehugger that was dropped on it's face and is hugging her back with it's 'tail' between her legs
No, not an addled butthugger, but an overly-friendly bat or dragonet

Again, may just be me, but it looks like the swords are the wrong way around: Lil Tir's blade should be closest to her to be between her head and the Dopple's sword

Head games go both ways. Tirin the Younger: "Is that all you got?" Doppelgänger: "..." All it takes is a (very brief) moment's hesitation.
Regarding the swords' positioning, it depends on how they got there. Tirin the Younger has taken the offensive from the jump; Doppel the Mad is parrying blows, not striking its own. In the fifth frame, all it would take would be a backslash to put paid to our heroine, but the parry's momentum vector wouldn't make that easy. And the curved blade can be used to hook the sword and pull it out of the way, freeing Tirin the Younger's own backslash.
Aside from that, Doppel the Mad's stance leaves her open to a well-placed kick, and Tirin the Younger has shown she has the skills. Too, the sword in any duel is only the distraction; the killing weapon is a different one. Tirin doesn't have the dagger or poignard, so she'll be improvising.

Hmmm. Maybe the doppelganger is actually the 'costume' clinging to big-T's back. If so, cutting off a head may be less effective than anticipated.

Panel 5 seems wrong.
Shouldn't Tirin's sword be the lower one, and Dopple's one the upper one, thus being shown completely and separating the visible part of Tirin's blade into two?
softspot (Guest) July 14th, 2017, 2:43 pm
no panel 5 is right. You see "little Tirin's" blade from the backside of the blade. Her blade is curved so it blocks the other blade from sliding down and up. That's a big advantage of a curved blade: it catches the other one's and limits it's movement space.: you only can deblock it by retracting and that opens your own defence.

If anything, Doppel's stance in panel five indicates a stabbing motion, not a slashing one
Lil Tir's blade may be curved, but it doesn't actually have anything to catch another blade, Doppel's on the other hand, does

Ok, I've revised panel 5 and 6 a bit. Lil' Tirin's blade is supposed to prevent the doppleganger's sword from striking her, but lil' Tirin's blade did not look like her blade was not really "underneath" the doppleganger's. Hope it looks more convincing now (still not perfect by any means, but hopefully better).
Guesticus (Guest) July 15th, 2017, 8:00 am
@Merceneiress: that looks better, and the red shadow in panel six? delightful :D

Truly this foe has an insidious talent for mind games, forcing young Tirin to fight an opponent wearing her father's body and little else. I can't imagine that not being at least a little disquieting.
Guesticus (Guest) July 15th, 2017, 3:23 pm
@Ganurath: or worse: that same outfit Evil Tirin was wearing!
Ganurath (Guest) July 16th, 2017, 11:20 pm
@Guesticus: I believe Evil Tirin's outfit could be accurately described as "little else."
Guesticus (Guest) July 15th, 2017, 5:31 pm
Something that might be cool (at least for me), is if Doppel changes to Felina in an effort to intimidate Lil Tir, only for it to backfire when Lil Tir goes full murder-death-rage on her arse and literally cuts her to shreds >:D
Krulle (Guest) July 16th, 2017, 4:26 pm
Thank You, much clearer this way!
agedsage (Guest) July 17th, 2017, 4:41 pm
Sliced Doppelganger... Sounds like fun. Little Tir,looks like she's more then ready to start chopping.
Guesticus (Guest) July 20th, 2017, 12:02 pm
Haven't seen Wendy since the time-skip, good to see she is still around in some fashion (and what fashion, nice little outfit she has on  )

Ok, now do the infinite fall portal thing, and when Billy gets turned feet first, aim the exit portal directly at Faux Samson's head.

"You should'a seen it, Daddy! Billy was going at terminal velocity, and BAM! Both feet right in your face! You went flying off that bridge like a rag doll!"
