Heh heh, loving Lil Tir's expression in the last panel :D

Yeah, really starting to loathe even more (if that's even still possible) the Slorn

Hmm, with all this timey-wimey wibbley-wobbley stuff going on, wonder how much of Tirin offering Abby the 'job' had to do with Lil Tir's memory of this event...

"Evil Slorn" @Guesticus: IMO hard to tell with Slorn, we don't know alternative without the interventions...

If removing one innocent person would prevent millions of innocent people from suffering and dying, not such an easy call to say don't hurt the one person. Slorn may see it similar to a doctor seeing chemotherapy less than the alternative of death by cancer.

Star Trek had an episode with time travel where one innocent person had to die in order to prevent a horrible alternative future after Nazi germany won world war 2.

@David: yes, can remember that episode in which Joan Collins had to die, Bones was not a happy doc (wait, when was he ever happy? oh right, up until she had to die)

That was a GREAT Star Trek episode that I saw as a kid --- it stoked the notion that one tiny person can affect an entire universe like a single drop of water sending ripples that affect an entire ocean --- it's why someone as insignificant as a nurse named Abby can cause a bumbling spy to have a crush on her and neglect his "duties" infiltrating the Empire, leading to a set of missed opportunities that would have changed the whole universe. Let's just say that if he infiltrates the Empire, a set of circumstances eventually lead him to accidentally throw a wrench into the Emperor's quest for time warps and hyperspace travel, ruining years of intensive research / study, setting the Empire back for decades. The Slorn don't need anyone else in the Universe discovering the secret of time travel, so they don't need someone as insignificant as Abby to prevent this from happening.

@Merceneiress: and instead, this 'insignificant nurse' is helping to put an end to their evil dick-buggery ways, for ever!

Anyone who has ever watched NCIS knows: you never mess with a hot chick named Abby :D

Oh, and have figured out who Abby reminds me of: panel one, looks just like Aida slash Ophelia from "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D."
Merceneiress June 2nd, 2017, 9:16 pm
@Guesticus: I don't watch that show, but I looked up Aida/Ophelia --- yes, she'd be perfect to play Abby (that'd be the day -- Merceneiress the movie or tv series...)
Guesticus (Guest) June 3rd, 2017, 6:20 am
@Merceneiress: so, just a happy co-inky-dinky then? that's cool :D
Long felt there was something 'familiar' about Abby...

TV Series! @Merceneiress: I've been watching that show since day one,and Her matching Ophelia is as close to perfect as it gets!I know thiat if/when this comic becomes a TV Show,I'll be more than just a fan of it.Hell,I'd even put in for a job on it as a model maker, prop mover or even just a Janitorial Maintenance Worker!THAT'S how much I love both of these.

Wrong form of the word. It's FAZE, not PHASE.

@quarktime: You're right. Thank you for pointing that out!

This is gonna be be extreme. Mirror and Abby,re-unit as one...While Tirin and Crew destroy the Evil SLORN ! Umm...can't wait !

You'd think that a trained spy would be a more effective stalker.
Lloyd (Guest) June 5th, 2017, 1:57 am
I'm not sure about the lives of innocents angle. If I recall correctly, the lives of innocents is the Slorn's *explanation* to their minions for maintaining continuity of the time stream. But I think, since the Slorn are time travelers, their real motivation is death of a non-Slorn compared to death of multiple Slorn. (I'm reminded of Lord Farquaad in the movie Shrek, "Some of you may die, but that is a risk I am prepared to take.")
Zimriel (Guest) July 21st, 2017, 10:21 pm
@Lloyd: yeah, this looks more like the Slorn working for self-preservation than like a good-faith effort to preserve the timeline. Nothing that was done here involved a bad timeline; it had everything to do with this spy's mission, likely one that served the Slorns' interest.
